Q: What are the banking details for the remittance of stand and sponsorship payments?

Q: What are the opening hours of AMCSA?

Q: What are the build-up dates and times ?
A: Thursday, 2nd September 2010 - 8h00 to 12h00 in CSIR International Convention Centre, Pretoria - Exhibitor build-up commences.. Please note that all stands must be completed by 12h00 on Thursday, 2nd September, in order to ensure effective cleaning prior to congress opening.
Q: What are the breakdown/dismantling dates and times ?
A: Saturday, 5th September - 15h00 to 18h00 - Full breakdown commences, all stands have to be broken down before
18h00.
Exhibitors may not start to break down their stand before 15h00.
The Organisers will not be held responsible for loss of goods or equipment from stands during break-down. It is the responsibility of the Exhibitor to ensure that a representative is present on the stand at all times.
Q: Which entrance do I access for build-up and breakdown?
A: Saturday, 4th September – 15h00 to 18h00 - Full breakdown commences, all stands have to be broken down before 18h00.
Exhibitors may not start to break down their stand before 15h00.
All packing containers, wrapping materials and empty cartons must be removed by the Exhibitors or they will be disposed of by the Organisers, at the expense of the Exhibitor.
Vehicles may be parked in the allocated parking area only while loading / unloading is taking place. As soon as vehicle is unloaded, please move to designated parking area.
Should you be making use of the services of a freight company, please ensure that your boxes are stored on your stand or within the containers and that they are not obstructing traffic flow.
Q: Packages / items, boxes to be delivered to CSIR Convention Centre?
A: Deliveries cannot be made prior to 2nd September 2010 . If you are having packages delivered to CSIR International Convention Centre, please ensure they are clearly marked with your company name and stand number, and arrange for a representative to be on your stand to accept the delivery.

Q: What is included in my stand package?
A: OPEN DESIGN SPACE - Includes Floor space only; free listing of your company in the Congress Programme and cleaning of the stand daily.
Excludes additional services of the electrical contractor.
Q: How many Exhibitor name tags do I qualify for?
A: However many Exhibitors as you have registered and paid for. Please refer to ‘Stand Request Form’.
Q: Where can I collect my Exhibitor name tags ?
A: Exhibitor name tags can be obtained at the Registration Desk on 2nd September 2010 from off 14h00.
Q: Where will the Organisers be situated?
A: At the help/registration desk in the foyer. If you have any queries regarding your participation before this time, please do not hesitate to contact the relevant member of the Exhibition Team as detailed. The Organisers will be operational during the times specified below:
2nd September 2010 , Build-up 08h00 to 18h00
3rd September 2010 , 08h00 to 17h30
4th September 2010, 08h00 – 15h00
Q: Should I insure my goods for the exhibition?
A: It is recommended that insurance cover be taken for the duration of the exhibition to include transport to and from the exhibition venue.
Whilst every reasonable precaution is taken to ensure that the premises are adequately patrolled, the Organisers expressly disclaim responsibility for any loss or damage to property of any exhibitor for any cost whatsoever. Please refer to the insurance section of this document.
Exhibitors are strongly advised to pack and remove all portable, appealing and valuable items from the exhibition hall at the end of each day. This is the time that there is the greatest risk of loss and theft. Items such as cell phones, laptops, TV’s, DVD’s, video and any other equipment must not be left unattended at any time.
Q: Do you have storerooms available for hire?
A: There are no storage facilities available at CSIR International Convention Centre, and we therefore suggest that these be taken away by your own transport. No exhibits may be stored in open voids.
Q: What about security?
A: Most thefts occur during the build-up and breakdown process.
Taking these precautions will help prevent a loss from your exhibition stand:
- After setting up your exhibit and at the end of congress each night, cover your materials with a sheet or some type of cover (it pays to follow the old saying ‘out of sight, out of mind’)
- Do not leave valuables unattended on your stand such as handbags, laptops etc.
- At the close of the congress, pack your valuables first and do not leave them unattended.
- Do not indicate the contents of your boxes i.e. VCR, computer, laptop, etc.
- Make sure all arrangements to have your stand and equipment removed has been made.
